Springtime in Berlin - the annual German Demolition Conference

The Deutscher Abbruchverband has released details of the line-up for what is one of the largest gatherings of demolition professionals who are attracted to the annual Berlin Demolition Conference, being held on 15-16 March 2013. The event will take place in the Hotel InterContinental on Budapester Strasse in the heart of the German capital.

According to the DA, the programme on the Friday will be made up of 20 presentations covering a range of topics currently of concern to the industry, illustrated in some instances by project reports The focus will be on gypsum waste recycling, nuclear power plant decommissioning, dealing with unexploded ordnance on demolition sites, urban mining, dealing with metal theft, health and safety issues, chimney implosions and legal factors of concern to the industry.

Of note is the fact that simultaneous translation will be available in English and French at the conference, making the event a an even bigger draw for non-German speakers. In addition, there will be the usual excursions to demolition sites around the city on the Saturday.

The conference will be supported by the normal exhibition in the area around the conference room that will cover more than 1,000 square metres, with most of the leading demolition equipment providers having a presence at the event. See you in Berlin!
