Strong 2005 for Tadano

25 April 2008

Tadano's fiscal 2005 figures showed an increase of 26% in total sales of its mobile cranes. This growth was centred on replacement demand for the mainstay 25 and 50 tonne rough terrains but included “promising increases” in sales of the city type 60 tonne capacity two axle telescopic GR-600N and higher sales of all terrains. Domestic sales totalled Yen 21.135 billion (US$178 million), a 27.8% (Yen 12 million) rise on fiscal 2004.

Overseas sales jumped 25% to Yen 24.269 billion ($230 million) compared to fiscal 2004, with the Middle East and North America cited as the best performing regions.

Total sales of RT, AT and truck mounted cranes totalled Yen 45.764 billion ($428 million), up 26.2% compared with the previous fiscal year.

Sales of hydraulic loader cranes, however, dropped 8.8% (Yen 11 million) to Yen 14.7 billion ($138 million).
