This year’s Construction Plant-Hire Association (CPA) Conference tackles the theme of Understanding and Influencing the Future of Construction Plant Hire, and a strong speaker line-up is being finalised for the event.

Taking place on 9th November, 2016, at Wyboston Lakes Conference Centre, Cambridgeshire, UK, the speaker line-up already includes Christian Spence, head of research and policy at Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, who will be talking to delegates on construction pipeline supply and demand - analysis which will include skills.

And Roger Bailey, asset management director at Thames Tideway, will be discussing the co-operation with contractors and suppliers on a complex project.

The CPA’s own Tim Watson will also address delegates with the latest developments on the Plant Safety Group’s Guidance document Lifting using Excavators, while DI Caroline Clooney from the Metropolitan Police will talk about the Plant and Agricultural National Intelligence Unit, and fraud prevention.

More speakers are set to be announced in the coming weeks, and delegates can expect to hear about a wide range of topics including skills supply, complex projects, construction pipeline supply and demand, training, machine safety, and developments in telematics and tracking.

The conference, held in association with CanTrack, will also boast indoor and outdoor exhibition areas. Exhibitors include AMI Group, JCB, Kranlyft UK, GenQuip, Syrinx Point of Rental, Datatag, Jaama, AJ Gallagher, ECY Haulmark and Plantworx.
