Sunbelt buys two Wisconsin aerial lift companies

Sunbelt Rentals has acquired Milwaukee High Lift Inc and Madison High Lift Inc for an undisclosed sum, effectibe 1 February.

The two companies, which rent aerial platforms in Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin, were majority owned by founder Mark Lancourt. Milwaukee High Lift was established in 2001 and the Madison sister-company followed in 2009.

Mr Lancourt said; “Sunbelt is the ideal partner for Milwaukee High Lift because we share the same culture, a culture dedicated to providing our customers with high quality equipment and excellent customer service.

“With Sunbelt’s resources, we will be able to meet our growing demand and execute our regional growth strategy.”

Sunbelt Rentals is owned by UK-based Ashtead Group.

Milwaukee High Lift and Madison High Lift were advised in the transaction by FocalPoint Securities, an investment bank that specialises in mergers and acquisitions.
