Sunbelt expands in Los Angeles

Sunbelt Rentals has acquired King Equipment, LLC, an aerial platform and tools rental business operating from two locations in California.

Founded in 2007, the business is headquartered in Santa Fe Spring, Los Angeles, and has a second depot in Colton, San Bernadino. Its fleet comprises scissor lifts, self-propelled booms, telehandlers and industrial forklifts, as well as general tools.

Sunbelt said the acquisition “enlarges Sunbelt Rentals’ California footprint and provides King’s valued customers with access to a more diverse product and service offering.”

The acquisition was one of five completed by Sunbelt during the first quarter of its 2019/20 financial year, to 31 July. Sunbelt is owned by Ashtead Group.
