Superior Industries has announced the acquisition of FLSmith’s Pekin crusher manufacturing facility in Illinois, USA. The 10 year old facility covers 6,500 square metres (70,000 square feet) with a current workforce of 30. Superior plans to use the plant as a US-based manufacturing centre for cone crushing equipment. Earlier this year, the company also purchased Clemro Western Ltd, based in Calgary, Alberta. This Canadian division has been a manufacturer of cone and jaw crushers for more than 30 years.

Superior Industries engineers and manufactures bulk material processing and handling equipment as well as cutting-edge components related to the machinery. From its headquarters in Morris, Minnesota, it supplies bulk crushing, screening, washing and conveying systems for industries including construction aggregates, mining, bulk terminals, agriculture, power and biomass.
