If the trailer mounted platform has a lower profile than other aerial platform categories, that doesn't mean that North American buyers don't have a wide selection of suppliers -North America and European – to choose from.

If you are in patriotic mood, then JLG, Genie and Bil-Jax all have trailers to offer, although Bil-jax has the widest range of the three. Other home-grown options include Miami-based Polecat Industries - which makes an interesting looking telescopic boom trailer often favored by landscapers and tree trimmers - and LDC Industries of East Moline, Illinois, with its telescopic or articulated boom UniLift models.

The European options – and trailers are a very popular product in Europe, so their lifts are well-tried and accepted - include the UK's Niftylift and the Scandinavian DL models (formerly Denka Lift) that are sold in North America by Houston-based Reachmaster.

Haulotte US also offers trailers through a badging agreement with Dinolift of Finland. Dinolift is one of the most famous names in European trailers. However, Haulotte tells ALH it is not currently marketing these trailers in North America.

UpRight Powered Access, meanwhile, will soon be offering a number of UK-designed trailers that it will produce in California.
