Talbert Manufacturing, a manufacturer of specialized heavy-haul trailers and other transport equipment in the USA, has appointed Rick Myers as its director of materials.

Myers will oversee deliveries, material purchases, warranty fulfilment and aftermarket parts, the company said. He will also be responsible for budgets, employee training and planning in those areas.

Andy Tanner, Talbert president, said, “Rick’s operational expertise and industry knowledge make him a great asset to the team. He brings real value to our company with his leadership skills and experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, etc.”

Myers has 28 years of experience in operations management. Prior to his new role, he was operations and purchasing manager at Jost International, a global manufacturer of trucking related products in Grand Haven, Michigan.
