The new Terex Challenger 3180 all terrain crane was shown for the first time in the UK on 22 June.

The 60 tonne capacity class, 180 tonne-metre rated, crane on three axles is designed to be operated by one person. It lifts 37.9 tonnes at 4 metre radius and has a 50 m telescopic boom with single hydraulic cylinder.

"We are very excited about introducing the unique cost and performance advantages of our cranes to our customers. Especially with the Challenger 3180, we are confident that this new machine will be the focus of great interest in the UK. We are also looking forward to meeting new and existing customers to share opportunities that our dedicated local team can provide to support and build their business success on a daily basis, and in the years to come", said Lee Maynard, Terex Cranes, UK general manager.

The crane appeared alongside Terex AC 100/4L and AC 40/2L all terrain cranes at the Vertikal Days event in the north west UK.
