Alfons Thihatmer will resign from Teupen at the end of 2010 and hand over his duties to Michael Wotschke. Teupen manufactures access platforms and is well-known for its Leo, crawler-chassis models.

Thihatmer has been a part of Teupen's management board as esecutive director since 1986. "The resignation of Alfons Thihatmer, as well as the handover of his responsibilities to a successor had already been declared in 2007, when he and the former exective director Andreas Grochowiak sold Teupen's majority share to the Nord Holding Unternehmensbeteiligungs GmbH," the company said in a statement.

Despite resigning, Thihatmer will remain as a consultant to Teupen. Teupen has a main facility in Germany and a subsidiary in North Carolina.
