Atlas Copco has introduced three new hand-held pneumatic hammers that have been designed to provide minimal vibration and maximum ease of handling. The three new models are the 6 kg (13.2 lb) TEX 05PE chipping hammer for smaller jobs in softer materials and the medium weight 10.5 kg (23.1 lb) TEX 09PE and 12 kg (26.4 lb) TEX 12PE pick hammers designed for medium to heavy applications in brisk, concrete or other hard materials.

According to the company, the new hammers feature a new vibro-reduced housing design that reduces vibrations throughout the housing as well as vibro-reduced handles. In addition, multiple gripping surfaces allows the operator to choose the optimum working position while the design includes a large D-shaped handle that provides sufficient room for a gloved hand. The TEX 09PE and 12PE are also fitted with a flexible front handle.
