Vibration nut loosening is a problem that occurs worldwide, where a nut and bolt are used. Wheelsure's second-generation wheel nut locking device has a modified wheel stud and patented counter-threaded locking cap that covers the wheel nut to hold it in place. When the wheel nut starts to loosen, the left hand threaded locking cap tightens to prevent further loosening.

The patented locking cap used on Wheelsure's products is the same but the bolts and the methods of fitting can vary. The retrofit product has been designed with an adapter to enable operators to fit the device using the existing bolt, provided it is in good condition.
