New York, USA-based Empire Crane Company acquired a Wolffkran 355B tower crane during the Bauma exhibition in Munich, Germany. This is the third Wolffkran model to be purchased by Titan Crane & Rigging based in Staten Island, New York.

Titan Crane & Rigging has two other 355Bs working in the New York City area purchased from Empire Crane. The third one will also be used for construction projects in the same area.

The 355B is NYC Cranes & Derricks approved and ANSI B30.3-2012 compliant, Empire said.

Said to be the ideal tower crane for concrete and general construction work, the 355B has a 50 metre luffing boom and offers a 24.1 metres/minute line speed. It also has the Wolff boost function allowing a 10 per cent increase in load carrying capacity at lower hoisting speed.
