Manufacturer Toyota has expanded its Tonero range of forklifts with new 2.0 to 2.5 tonnes liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) models and 3.0 to 3.5 t LPG and diesel models.

The new forklifts follow the launch at the end of 2013 of its Tonero 2.0 to 2.5 t diesel trucks with hydrostatic transmission,

Craig Walby, director of product management at Toyota Material Handling Europe, said, “With the launch of our first hydrostatic Tonero trucks at the end of 2013, Toyota opened up new sales opportunities.

“Offering both hydrostatic and torque convertor means that all customers can benefit from the advantages offered by Tonero, no matter their driving preference or application demands. We are pleased to see that our care for bringing exceptional efficiency and the quality of our products are appreciated by our customers.”

The manufacturer said the Tonero family of hydrostatic transmission would be completed by early 2015.
