The range of transmission management systems from Poclain Hydraulics Ltd now includes the SmartDrive Canalogger acquisition unit. Designed to allow vehicle builders to test both transmissions and a wide range of other electronic components on board in difficult conditions, the unit operates on PC Canalogger Explorer software, saving to a Smart Media card, in temperatures from -200C to +70 0C. Set up is through a PC or the hand-held terminal, which has a serial link.

The Canalogger is supplied with eight temperature inputs, twelve analog inputs, eight (TOR) digital inputs, five frequency inputs and one supply input. It weighs 3.85 kg and operates on a 10 to 30 V supply voltage.
