25 January 2018

Bangladesh-based logistics management company Conveyor Logistics has completed the transportation of several oversized items for a powerplant in India.

The items arrived at the ports of Mongla and Chittagong and were transported inland via road and river to the job site at the Ghorashal power plant.

The heaviest items, including a gas turbine weighing 314 tonnes and a gas turbine generator weighing 328 tonnes, were taken off ocean vessels and put onto flat barges for the river transportation. Once at their destination, they were manually skidded to the project site.
