Italian lighting tower manufacturer Trime has acquired DOA Srl, an Italian manufacturer of hydraulic tools, including air compressors, generators, pumps and hydraulic powered cutting equipment. The price was not disclosed.

The move is part of Trime’s strategy to develop the group internally while also pursuing opportunities to acquire companies with complementary products.

Andrea Fontanella, President of Trime, said, “This acquisition represents a fundamental step in our strategy to grow international markets.

“From today, customers around the world will be able to benefit from an even broader range of products, in addition to our range of equipment, which is currently based around mobile light towers and generators.”

DOA is based in Novedrate, north of Milan, Italy, not far from Trime’s headquarters in Cassinetta di Lugagnano, also near Milan.

DOA’s management team will continue to support the company during the integration with Trime to ensure a smooth transition.

DOA shareholders said, “The transaction with Trime is the natural step for our company to develop a greater range of products and a wider distribution platform, especially to the global rental markets”.
