TRU Plant completes €19 million order

JCB has delivered the last units of a £16 million (€19 million) machinery order to TRU Plant in the UK.

Thirty JCB 540-140 HiViz Loadall telescopic handlers were delivered to the rental company as part of a total order for 300 machines. The order was made with UK dealer Watling JCB.

JCB has delivered 30 Loadalls to rental company TRU Plant as part of a 300 unit order, including site dumpers and backhoe loaders.

TRU Plant is part of the TRU7 Group, which includes haulage, recycling and demolition companies. TRU7 is run by the Nicholls family that previouslty owned Fork Rent, before it was sold and merged with One Call Hire to create Ardent Hire Solutions.

TRU7 Group owner, Guy Nicholls, said, “Thanks to our resources and, most importantly, the right equipment, we have quickly put TRU Plant on the map as a major player in the hire industry.”

Over the past 18 months numerous models of backhoe loaders, rough terrain forklifts, teletrucks, site dumpers and other telehandlers have been delivered to TRU Plant for its rental operations.

The company’s rental division was established in 2018 by TRU7 Group owner Nicholls and his son Jake.

In addition to TRU Plant, the group now includes Trucks ’R’ Us, Tippers ‘R’ Us, CDC Demolition, TRU Grab and TRU Ag. It employs 160 people at its Suffolk office.
