Palfinger is launching two truck mounts at Intermat, the NX P550 and the compact P280AXE.

The Germany-based manufacturer is extending its jumbo NX class range with a bigger model. The P550 has a working height of 55 m and an outreach of 40 m.

It has all the same features of the new jumbo-class platforms, an X-jib between the upper boom and basket, and basket rotation of 2 x 200 degrees designed for maximum movability.

The P550 follows the P480, the first in the new NX series launched at APEX last year. The new machine has an upper boom range of 20 m, which is greater than the P480.

Within that range, the P550 convinces with the particular flexibility that distinguishes the NX class. The X-jib can be controlled separately for precise positioning and offers a work area of 240 degrees.

Thanks to the sensitive proportional controls, even at great height, the operator can make precision movements of the jib around buildings, masts or under overhangs.

The weight of the jumbo NX class has been kept to a minimum, making it possible to transport more tools, work equipment and materials in the vehicle. The exceptionally large space in the work basket makes its use even more effective, added the manufacturer.

Palfinger Platforms Italy is launching the compact P280AXE. The new model is suitable for applications with limited space but require extensive reach. The model offers a working height of up to 28 m and a lateral reach of 15 m. Ergonomic design is also a feature - the collision protection prevents collisions between the platform and cab and the individual components of the platform.

The P280AXE is the latest in the Smart Class and has a platform length of 6.89 m and a gross weight of no more than 6 tonnes.

The individual stabilisation widths create additional room for manoeuvre. With a smaller stabilisation area, the P280AXE determines the maximum range depending on the situation. Regardless of the stabilisation width, the boom can be rotated 360° and the basket 90° left and right.

Intermat Paris takes place 20 - 25 April. Visit Palfinger Platforms at stand E5 B004.
