The Risalto consortium has withdrawn its bid to build the € 4,4 billion Messina Bridge between Sicily and the Italian mainland, citing high “financial and geological”risks. The consortium was led by Strabag, and included Bouygues, Dragados, Rizzani de Eccher, Salini and Todini. Two consortia remain in the bidding, one led by Astaldi and the other by Impregilo.
