Spanish manufacturer Himoinsa has recorded rapid growth from its UK subsidiary, Himoinsa Power Solutions, since it was established in Gateway, Crewe at the start of 2014.

Himoinsa said it had seen its market share grow thanks to improved market opportunities in the UK. The company has added to its product list, which now includes industrial, bi-fuel and gas generators ranging from 8 kw to 3.5 MW in power output.

It said rental demand had increased, with companies such as PowerHire, Speedy, Woodlands, Charles Wilson and Power Rental adding Himoinsa generator sets in their equipment hire fleets.

Following the growth in business, Himoinsa UK has expanded its facilities and now operates a site of 4,876 m2, offering equipment and spare parts, while its training centre in Crewe receives requests from distributors and rental companies for courses for technical personnel.

Clive Dix, managing director of Himoinsa UK, said, "Himoinsa Power Solutions is currently serving the industrial sector in the UK, mainly supplying standby generator sets, and generators for the hire sector, as well as providing generators to rental companies working on special projects that require non-standard configurations."
