UKD Diggers, a plant hire business firm based in Derbyshire in the north of England, is expanding with 18 new Bobcat compact excavators.

Bought from dealer Butler Reynolds, the machines have operating weights from 1.0 to 4.5 t and include the new Bobcat E10, E17, E25 and E45 mini-excavators.

UKD director Dave Bennett said: “Since we started in 2008 we have built steadily around a fleet that included several new Bobcat 321 1.5 t excavators. Two years ago, as demand picked up, we added an E62 6 t and E85 8 t.

“We have continued to see growth in every sector. The new Bobcat excavators will allow us to better meet the increased demand and to extend our customer base by going after new business.”

Butler Reynolds director Nigel Long added: “The Bobcat excavators had the same examination as all the equipment in the UKD fleet, and passed with flying colours.”
