Unique France Elévateur units for Cyprus

France Elévateur - Electricity Authority of Cyprus France Elévateur delivers besoke insulated units to Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC)

France Elévateur has produced 16 custom vehicle mounted platforms for the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC), after winning a tender to replace outdated units in the organisation’s fleet.

To comply with the tender, issued in 2020, France Elévateur designed a bespoke version of its 17m working height 172TPLi model to meet safety feature requirements, while maintaining a high level of peformance with a 1.6 tonne net payload and compact dimensions.

France Elévateur partnered with local company CTC Automotive, to deliver the Iveco Daily 70C18H on which the platforms are mounted, and aftersales provider Spyros Houtris & Sons for the project.

With a working height of 17m and outreach of 10m, the unique unit is also able to work on a lateral inclination of 3° and longitudinal inclination of 8.5° with all its wheels on the ground, ensuring EAC staff can carry out their working at height objectives safely and in comfort. All the units are also double insulated to 1 kilovolt (kV) for extra safety.

A France Elévateur spokesperson said, “This order provided an important step forward for our customer to guarantee the personnel’s safety and to meet the higher demands for aerial work in this territory.”
