United Rentals holding major equipment sale on December 12

United Rentals will host its second annual Used Equipment Sale on Thursday, December 12, with more than 650 participating branches offering equipment “at a fraction of its original cost.”

In the sale will be more than 20M000 items, including boom lifts, scissor lifts, backhoes, dozers and trenchers, concrete mixers, air tools, compressors and power tools.

United will offer finance options for buyers through Captive Capital, and it said the sale was timed to give buyers the benefit of IRS Section 179, “100% deduction on 2013 taxes for qualified equipment bought before year-end.”

Details of which stores are participating can be found on United Rentals’ website and the sale will run from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm, local time, at each store. No appointment is required for prospective buyers.
