United Rentals names JLG as Strategic Supplier of the Year

JLG Industries, Inc. was selected by United Rentals as “Strategic Supplier of the Year.” The company also won this award in 2010.

“We are honored to receive the United Rentals Strategic Supplier of the Year Award,” said Frank Nerenhausen, Oshkosh Corporation executive vice president and president of JLG Industries, Inc. “This award is particularly meaningful to us, because we were judged by United Rental employees, and as such, it confirms that our customer-focused culture is both appreciated and achieving results as it provides our customers with unparalleled service, quality, and support.”

As the recipient of this award, JLG was judged and selected by United Rental employees via an internal survey. This survey went to all of United Rentals’ branches and was shared with more than 800 managers, sales, and service personnel. The award also takes into account the supplier’s impact on United Rentals’ corporate objectives through the delivery of exemplary quality, service, and efficiency.

The objectives of the United Rentals Strategic Supplier of the Year Award are to raise awareness of the key role suppliers play in the company’s corporate success, reward and reinforce strong supplier partnerships, illustrate that United Rentals values and listens to suppliers that help them to reach the company’s goals, as well as to increase commitment from suppliers.

“From faster access to parts, to 24/7 technical support and a comprehensive training program, both onsite and online, JLG Ground Support is dedicated to helping customers like United Rentals maintain peak performance and uptime,” said Nerenhausen. “Our broad array of services includes aftermarket parts, call center support, service centers, warranty programs, a fleet of pre-owned equipment and an industry-leading reconditioning program, which taken together, enable us to reach out to customers around the world and support their individual needs, efficiently and cost effectively.”
