UpRight confirms Madera, CA plant

25 March 2008

UpRight Powered Access confirmed at the ARA Rental Shows in Atlanta that it is to build a new production facility in Madera, CA, close to the former UpRight facility in the town.

The company will lease or buy a 26–acre site and build a 30,000 square foot facility within six to seven months, said UpRight's Chief Executive Darren Kell. The company aims to build UpRight's larger booms there.

The company meanwhile went to town at the Rental Show with a special party for more than 300 guests at which one lucky customer, Max Christopher of Tennessee rental company Christopher Equipment, won a Mustang car.

Christopher (pictured on the right with UpRight's Kell) said he owned several old UpRight models, but would be “buying some more tomorrow!” His company is based in Tullahoma, TN and has depots in Manchester and Shelbyville.
