A consortium of contractors has been awarded a US$ 600 million contract in Georgia, US, to build 48 km of toll roads, including 39 bridges.

The Northwest Corridor Project in Atlanta was awarded to Vinci subsidiary Hubbard Construction in a joint venture with Archer Western Contractors, part of Walsh Group, and Parsons Corporation. The new roads will add extra lanes to the I-75 and I-575 with the aim of reducing congestion.

Scheduled for completion in 2018, the contract was awarded by the State Roadway and Toll Authority and the Georgia Department of Transportation. The State will also operate the program and collect tolls.
