Vinci has acquired Faceo from Apax partners in a move that is intended to grow Vinci's facilities management business.

The acquisition is subject to legal and regulatory requirements, but should it be approved it will lead to the company's facilities management business achieving annual revenues of € 1,3 billion.

Faceo provides integrated solutions for service sector maintenance, covering engineering, systems integration and multi-service and multi-technical maintenance across multi-year contracts. With revenues of € 430 million in 2009, 30% of which were generated outside of France, the company has 2500 employees.

A spokesperson from Vinci said, "The objective of this acquisition is to support and add momentum to the creation of Vinci Facilities as part of the Energies division. Faceo will contribute expertise in providing integrated solutions across a number of sites and countries.

"It will also provide the ability to respond to the changing requirements of major private and public companies, which are increasingly seeking a comprehensive solution for the maintenance of their service sector infrastructure."
