Spiecapag, a subsidiary of contractor Vinci, has won a contract to design, supply and build a 142 km natural gas pipeline in Bolivia.

The contract is for the main line as well as three flow lines and several regulator stations.

It also covers commissioning support for the infrastructure, which will connect the Incahuasi gas and condensate field in the southern part of Bolivia's Cordillera Central mountain range, with existing export pipelines.

The contract was awarded by TOTAL Bolivia (80%) and Tecpetrol (20%) as joint concession holders on behalf of Bolivia's state-owned oil and gas company, YPBF.

It is part of a project aimed at developing large natural gas reserves in the region, and is scheduled for completion at the end of 2015.
