Wastecycle is using Volvo wheeled loaders to handle recycled aggregate, soils and residue waste

UK waste processor Wastecycle has recently added five new Volvo machines for its licensed waste facility at Colwick, on the outskirts of Nottingham. On this site, the company processes more than 250,000 tonnes of commercial and industrial waste, of which 75% is recycled. This includes timber, card, plastics, aggregates, soils and plasterboard.

The new Volvos are two wheeled loaders – an L110F and an L120F – and two sixteen tonne EW16C wheeled excavators and a tracked version of this model. The two wheeled loaders are used to rehandle recycled aggregate, soils and the residue waste from the site’s recycling processes. The three excavators are fitted with selector grapples to load the shredders, material sorting duties and the loading of high-sided bulkers destined for recovery or landfill
