UK rental company Vp plc has acquired TechRentals NZ in New Zealand for NZ$ 2.592 million (€ 1.7 million).

Tech Rentals rents specialist test and measurement equipment and offers equipment calibration services, and has been operating for more than 30 years. It has a single location in Auckland, New Zealand.

The acquired business was previously part of the TR Group in Australia that VP bought in April this year, having been sold by TR group in 2009. VP will now run the New Zealand business as part of the TR group, which operates in Australia, Malaysia and New Zealand.

Jeremy Pilkington, Chairman of Vp plc, said; “We are delighted to welcome the experienced TRNZ back to the TR Group and also to the wider team at Vp. The acquisition of TRNZ further increases the TR Group's exposure to the healthy New Zealand market."

The equipment rented by TechRentals is used in a wide range of industrial applications, including data communications, energy efficiency testing, electrical power testing, video inspection, thermal imaging and sound and vibration measurement.
