Vp buys UK's Power Tool Supplies

UK rental company Vp plc has acquired Power Tool Supplies Ltd (PTS), a small rental and sales company in Brighton on the south coast of England.

VP paid £1.1 million in cash for PTS, which generated revenues of £ 2.3 million and profit before tax of £0.4 million for the year to 31 March 2008.

Jeremy Pilkington, Vp's chairman, said: "PTS has been serving the Brighton area since 1983 and provides Hire Station with a high quality addition to its branch network." Hire Station is Vp's tool hire division.
