Vp plc enjoys healthy trading

30 September 2016

UK rental company Vp plc said it had maintained its positive start to financial year, with healthy trading within the construction and housebuilding sectors in its domestic market.

Vp owns the Groundforce, Hire Station, Torrent Trackside, TAP and UK Forks brands in the UK, as well as international brands Airpac Bukom Oilfield Services and TR Group.

In a brief trading update ahead of its results release later in the year, Vp said its UK businesses had been supported by solid demand from the infrastructure markets, and were delivering good year on year growth.

Within the International division, it said TR Group - which it acquired in April 2016 – was integrating well within the overall company, and trading in line with expectations. But it added that the oil and gas sector remained challenging.

“Overall Vp is trading well and we continue to anticipate making further good progress in the year,” the company said.
