By Chris Sleight11 February 2009

Wacker Neuson has completed one of the final steps in changing from a German Aktiengesellschaft (AG) company to the European Societas Europaea (SE) form of incorporation with the formal appointtment of the Wacker Neuson SE Executive Board.

This will remain unchanged from the Wacker Construction Equipment AG Board, headed bt CEO Dr.-Ing Georg Sick. Other members include Martin Lehner, who continues as deputy CEO, along with Günther Binder, Werner Schwind and Richard Mayer.

The SE form of incorporation was passed into law in 2004. It is a harmonised form of incorporation common across the 27 Member States of the EU, designed to make it easier for companies to work across borders without having to contend with 27 different sets of coporate legal requirements.

Wacker Neuson took the decision to convert itself to the SE company form at its AGM last June. The appointment of the Executive Board was sthe last formal step in this process, and Wacker Neuson SE will now be entered into the European company register.
