Wacker Neuson CEO resigns

Wacker Neuson president & CEO Dr Georg Sick has told the company's Supervisory Board that he will not be seeking to renew his contract once it expires on 31 July. However, he has agreed to continue as CEO until the end of the calendar year.

Dr Sick has been a member of the group's management team for 15 years. He became president & CEO of Wacker in 2005 and in 2007 was instrumental in the company's acquisition of Austrian compact equipment manufacturer Neuson.

According to the company, Dr Sick is leaving to pursue other business opportunities. The company is looking for an external successor.
