O'Keefe Construction (Greenwich) Ltd has taken delivery of a Warrior 1400 mobile screen, supplied by UK Powerscreen dealer Blue Machinery London, as part of the expansion of the company's Soils Recycling facility at the port of Chatham, Kent.

O'Keefe needed to deploy screening equipment that was fast, flexible and reliable. It already operates a XR 400 crusher and a Warrior 800 screening plant at the site. The company uses lime and cement additives in its construction and demolition waste recycling to recover more than 90% of the material it processes, producing a range of bound and unbound aggregates. The ability to easily change screening media on the Warrior 1400, through the hydraulically lifting screen deck, allows O'Keefe to react swiftly to customer demand for single sized aggregates.

O'Keefe will shortly reach a major milestone at its Chatham and Silvertown, East London, facilities when it reaches 100,000 tonnes of material processed at both since October 2009.
