German crane rental and haulage firm Wiemann Autokrane has added two new Liebherr machines to its fleet with the purchase of an LTM 1130-5.1 and an LTM 1500-8.1.

The new 500 tonne machine is the third LTM 1500-8.1 in the Wiemann Autokrane fleet. It will be used throughout Germany on industry, power plant construction and wind power projects. The new 130 tonne LTM 1130-5.1 will be used regionally for smaller lifts.

Wiemann Autokrane operates a fleet of 60 cranes, a large number of which are Liebherr models, including an LR 1600/2 600 tonne capacity crawler crane.

The fleet also includes 20 heavy haulage vehicles including a new Goldhofer eight-axle low loader with a four-axle Mercedes Actros Titan tractor unit, which Wiemann used to collect the equipment for the new cranes from Liebherr's Ehingen depot. The new heavy haulage unit will also be used to move crawler cranes between jobs.
