Working at height forum set for October
06 May 2016
Nationwide Platforms will hold its annual Working at Height Best Practice Forum in October.
Now in its eighth year, the UK-based forum attracted more than 220 guests last year. It allows key decision makers from a number of sectors share their experiences and thoughts with safety specialists to help advance the safe operation of powered access, shape best practice and improve standards.
The event will include a number of presentations with speakers from Nationwide’s clients, such as Crossrail, major contractors and manufacturers, as well as industry and health and safety bodies including the UK’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE), IPAF, and the Construction Plant-hire Association. Discussions and interactive sessions are also a key part of the forum.
The event also allows delegates to experience a number of Nationwide Platforms’ latest fleet additions as well as gain in-depth detail on its range of safety and product innovations, such as its intelligent secondary guarding device, SkySiren PCS, which was introduced at the forum last year.
Jeremy Fish, Nationwide Platforms managing director, said, “Last year’s Working at Height Best Practice Event was by far the biggest and most successful to date. There is clearly an appetite for improvements in powered access health and safety, and perhaps the most encouraging aspect of the event, is the ability to affect change within the industry.”
“Over the years, delegates have made strong commitments towards improving health and safety associated with powered access, with a number of issues – such as operator entrapment, unauthorised use of MEWPs, and the secure handling of materials – being addressed at the events. This year we are very much looking to build on the success of previous events as we continue to improve the industry for the better. To achieve this we need your help, your participation, your involvement, because together we can make a real difference. Your safety, is our priority.”
The company also has a Working at Height Best Practice Forum on LinkedIn.
The event takes place at The Belfry Hotel & Resort, Warwickshire, 20 October 2016.
