Netherlands-based manufacturer XSPlatforms has launched the SafeTower mobile scaffold system.

Designed in accordance with EN 1004, and tested and certified by TUV Nord, the lightweight aluminum scaffold can be erected from the inside while standing on a lower platform, thanks to the QuiXSafe system.

QuiXSafe provides a brace that encloses both sides of the platform above, creating a safe working environment on the next level. The assembly method mounting the QuiXSafe under a 20-degree angle makes it impossible to unlock the QuiXSafe from the level the user is working on.

While the QuiXSafe and SafeTower products are new to XSPlatforms, the concept of advance guard rails and trapdoors in access towers has been adopted in the UK for several years.

The SafeTower is designed to use just four horizontal braces, regardless of the working height. The QuiXSafe also acts as a guide to determining the height of the platform.
