Special trailer and semi-trailer manufacturer Faymonville has launched an ‘XXL’ variant of its FloatMAX glass inloader designed specifically for the transportation of long sheets of glass (up to 12,000 mm in length).

The trailer manufacturer said it has launched the XXL-sized inloader in response to the increasing use of long lengths of glass in the building sector.

Faymonville said it focused on user-friendliness throughout the development of this XXL vehicle. “”The daily work of the driver and freight forwarder was consciously integrated into the design,”” said product manager Albert Balke. “”Proven inloader technology was combined with a load-encompassing pneumatic suspension. Accordingly, the driver can rely on a familiar method of operation.””

The XXL FloatMAX glass inloader has a low dead weight of 9,600 kg, which allows a high payload, said Faymonville. It also pointed out that the vehicle’s dimensions mean that no escort vehicle is required. “”Even with such a long vehicle, maximum manoeuvrability is possible,”” added Balke.
