An 18.1 tonne Doosan DL300 wheel loader and a 21.5 tonne DX225LC tracked excavator have been delivered to York Recycling (Processing) Ltd's base in Alne, near York in North Yorkshire, UK, by dealer Construction Plant (Suppliers) Ltd. The Alne Materials Recycling Facility processes a mix of waste types from consumer, industrial, construction and demolition customers and the new equipment will be used for general handling requirements on the site.

In addition, the DL300 will be used as a dedicated handler loading a trommel with 'frag waste', which is the material that results from scrapped vehicles, which consists of a mixture of metal, plastics, fabric and other materials, in addition to 10 kg (26.5 lb) of soil. The trommel separates the soil from the other materials and the recovered soil is then used as lining and capping material on York's landfill sites.

The DX225LC will also find use on York's landfill sites, where it will be used for excavation work, dressing linings and pipe installation, in addition to other digging and handling applications
