A Züblin-led joint venture has been awarded the contract to build a new metro line to Copenhagen’s North Harbour.

The design and build contract has a total value of about €150 million, of which Züblin’s share is €90 million, with Hochtief taking the rest.

The new line will link Østersøgade and the new Nordhavn metro station, and will include 2km of double-tube tunnels, and the cut and cover of the Nordhavn station, including the installation works.

Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2014 for completion in 2019.
