Teupen's Arjen Snijder is joining Riwal as its international sales manager, effective from 1 May 2012.

Mr Snijder has more than 20 years of international sales experience in aerial platforms with Gunco, HDW and for the bulk of his career with Teupen, where he was sales director.

He will be responsible for developing Riwal's equipment sales operations - for new and used platforms - as well as the company's cross-border rental activities, managing a five-strong sales team.

Mr Snijder will report to Norty Turner, Riwal's recently appointed chief executive, and will be based at Riwal's headquarters in Dordrecht, the Netherlands.

The appointment signals the start of a more "proactive" approach to sales of new and used platforms by Riwal, which is also looking to expand its rental activities worldwide.

Riwal employs 800 people and has operations in 16 countries with a fleet of 13000 units.
