Atlas Copco has opened a new training centre at Kalmar, Sweden, that will be used for all its internal training activities for hydraulic attachments, handheld tools, maintenance, servicing and concrete and compression technology. The 150 square metre (1,600 square foot) workshop features up to six work stations, where products can be explained, and servicing and maintenance tasks practised.

An open area is also available that will allow the company's personnel for all over the world to operate equipment ranging from hand tools through to hydraulic attachments for themselves. The centre also features a training room which can hold up to 40 people.

According to Peter Lauwers, vice president marketing at Atlas Copco Construction Tools: "Continuous training is essential for our employees due to constant further development and products which need explanation. It is our aim to hold around 100 training days per year at our Kalmar training centre."
