CTE’s 10000th aerial work platform, a ZED 20.2 H

Italy-based CTE’s 10000th aerial work platform is ready to be delivered. The landmark unit is a ZED 20.2 H articulated truck mounted platform bought by UK customer Smart Platforms.

To mark the centennial machine, CTE painted it with a silver varnish and mounted it on a truck with a silver cab.

The company introduced its first truck mounted platform in 1993 with a Z-articulated and telescopic boom the Z 16D, predecessor of the innovative Z 20 introduced in 1996.

In 2009 the Z range’s name was changed to ZED; now there are 15 models in the range with working heights from 14 to 32 m. The 20 m working height ZED 20.2 H is its best seller and has 9.2 m of outreach, and a maximum capacity with two people of 300 kg, with loading cell.

This model was one of the first with the new octagonal boom made with Docol 1200 M high strength steel. Another important characteristic is the H shape vertical with a decreased stabilisation width from 3200 mm of previous models to 2930 mm, capable of being used on steep gradients.
