Event recording: IAPAs and IPAF Summit

A recording of the first ever virtual International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) and IPAF Summit is now available to watch, free of charge.

More than 1,000 industry professionals from almost 70 countries registered to watch the joint digital edition of the IAPAs and IPAF Summit, which took place on 18 March. The 12 IAPA trophy winners were announced during the live event, which had originally been set to take place in London, UK, last year, but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

IAPAs IPAF Summit 2021

Jointly organised by Access International and IPAF, the IAPAs celebrate excellence in the powered access industry. This was the first time it was held as a virtual event, with Summit speakers and IAPAs nominees coming together remotely from around the world.

The IPAF Summit presentations focused on sustainability, digitisation and the adoption of new technologies. Among the speakers, Suzannah Nichol, CEO of Build UK, the largest contractors organisation in the UK, highlighted how the UK’s construction sector has responded to the Covid crisis.

Søren Brogaard, CEO of Trackunit and Peter Douglas, CEO of IPAF, discussed the new ePAL digital Powered Access Licence, and the round-table focuses specifically on sustainability.

The panel discussion focused specifically on sustainability and included Karel Huijser, general manager and VP EAME of JLG, Pierre Boels, CEO of Boels Rental and president of the European Rental Association, and Norty Turner, senior vice president – services at United Rentals.
