Leighton Contractors - Kingsgrove to Revesby Quadruplication

Leighton Contractors as part of the Kingsgrove to Revesby Quadruplication (K2RQ) Alliance - Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation, Maunsell Australia, Sinclair Knight Merz, MVM Rail and Union Switch & Signal – is currently duplicating the rail lines between Kingsgrove and Revesby stations in in Sydney, Australia for the Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation (TIDC). The work includes construction of: two new rail lines (each 6.5 km long) between the two stations; ten new rail bridges; modifications to five existing bridges, and a new overhead concourse and lift at Revesby station. The additional tracks between Kingsgrove and Revesby will improve the reliability of the service by allowing a complete separation of slow and express services on the East Hills Line. Slow services will operate via the Airport and express services via Sydenham. The AU$ 437 million (US$ million) project started in May 2007 and is due for completion in January 2013
