Ward Demolition shortlisted for WDA 2022

New Zealand-based company Ward Demolition has been shortlisted for the 2022 World Demolition Awards, for its Harrison Road project.

Nominated in the recycling and environmental demolition projects under US$1 million category, the project saw the company recycle 93% of the structure - which amounted to a total of 4,179 tonnes of materials - with saw only 7% of the remaining waste sent to landfill.

A Pegson Crusher XA400S, two Hyundai R210LC-9, two Hyundai Excavator R500LC-7, an Hitachi ZX85USB-5A, a Hyundai Digger 480, three Bobcat skid steers and several other small machines were alll used to complete the project, which had a contract value of NZD412,000 (US$247,000).
