Liebherr has used the IFAT exhibition in Germany to show the L 546, the largest member of the company’s new medium-size wheeled loader range.

The new generation wheeled loaders, which meets Stage IV/Tier 4 Final emissions guidelines, was originally unveiled at Bauma in April.

With the L 526, L 538 and L 546, Liebherr believes the range comprises three powerful and reliable all-round models.

To further increase the machines’ robustness and durability, Liebherr has installed larger axles and reinforced the steel structures, making them suitable for demanding applications in the recycling industry.

Liebherr has developed the new models with current market requirements in mind. The hydrostatic driveline produces fuel savings of up to 25% compared to wheeled loaders of the same size class.

Customers can choose between Z-bar linkage for standard applications and parallel lift arms for industrial applications. The new all-round loaders are therefore particularly versatile.

The L546 that was on show at IFAT has a 123 kW or 167 hp diesel engine to power the wheeled loader. The exhibit is equipped with parallel lift arm, the Likufix hydraulic quick hitch system and a high-dump bucket with a capacity of 4 cu m. With an operating weight of 15,360 kg the IFAT exhibit achieves a tipping load of 8,200 kg.
