French software company Irium has established a joint venture with fellow French software firm Vega Systems to market internationally a rental software solution.

The joint venture, Ivrent will promote a dedicated management system for rental companies based on Vega's existing Loc Pro rental system, which has been sold in France for several years with Kiloutou among its users.

Irium, which sells construction and agriculture business management software all over the world, has previously added rental modules to its existing software packages, but the cooperation with Vega System will give it a dedicated rental software system to promote internationally.

Pierrick Guivarc'h, president of the Irium group, said; "Irium brings its position as leader on the distributor market, its international standing". Vega Systems managing director Gilbert Bottesi, said; "Loc Pro has proved its reliability in the management of all rental [sectors]...The software is already a reference for car hire companies and deserves to make a name for itself in multi-hire, including at an international level."

Irium is a €13.5 million revenue business with 140 employees and 700 customers, and has offices in Spain, Germany, UK, USA and Australia. Vega employs 25 people, has a turnover of €2 million, with 250 customers, operating mainly in France.
